frogjimmydotcom is dead...

... well, not the website anyways. I just cancelled my XBOX Live gamer-tag of frogjimmydotcom. After months of dormancy, there was no decent reason to prop that up. Though I'm sure the tag gave the site some cheap advertising and made one or two people chuckle, the little racist bastards that play that game were enough to drive me away.

Then I started playing World of Warcraft.

Regardless, what was funny is that cute girl at the other end of the line (who couldn't disclose their location, but it was likely Vancouver) went through the motions of asking me if I'd like to keep it for the downloadable content (ha!) or if I knew a friend or relative who would want the account (HA!). Clever marketing... OK, it really wasn't, but at least she was friendly.

So I had to wonder after I hung up the phone: is the tech support outsourced to India and the billing department in Vancouver or are they all in the same place. Then I had to wonder: why am I skeptical of where a call center may be outsourced?

Whatever.

What's funny about that warcraft post is that just about everyone who would read that and understand what the hell I'm talking about were the other 6 ppl in the raid. Fuck, I'm a dork!

I bought the new P.O.D. and Yellowcard albums. Was quite surprised at the results. P.O.D. was far better than I expected, since I didn't care for their last album much. Very tight sound. Matisyahu has got a great sound as a reggae singer for being a rabbi (nope... not a typo... props to latinloco for bringing that to my attention). Yellowcard, nothing very standout. It's a solid album, but the violin seems to have disappeared or faded out from the sound, which is wicked disappointing. It's what sets them apart from the glut of pop-punk bands that litter the landscape.

I would also implore everyone to visit bradt48 and lobby him to make me the best man in his wedding. Not because I would want to, but because Adam would be a lame best man. I went and said it! Dispute my point as it is airtight! (Brad, you have to show Adam this post... please! It would be too funny for him not to read this. And he's invited to F&K 18, this Saturday, usual time and place.)
